“I strive to deliver the highest quality dentistry to my patients in a comforting environment. I truly enjoy all aspects of dentistry, and nothing makes me happier than relieving my patients’ pain while restoring their smiles.”
Education
Dr. Koester received his dental degree and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. He received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL.
Continuing Education & Professional Memberships
Dr. Koester has completed advanced hybrid endodontic training, and is laser and Invisalign certified.
He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Delta Sigma Delta and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Nation Dental Honor Society.

Life & Hobbies
Dr. Koester currently resides in Carbondale with his wife Andrea. Community involvement is a priority for Dr. Koester. He participated in Free Dental Day in Carterville, and looks forward to becoming further involved in the Carbondale community. In his free time, Dr. Koester enjoys outside activities, hiking, golfing and tennis. When the weather doesn’t cooperate, he also enjoys watching movies with his wife.
